Coming in 2024

Healthcare & Dissociation

My team at athenahealth is currently researching underserved and marginalized patient populations to improve our software products. At some point in 2024, we will be focusing on understanding the unmet healthcare needs of patients who experience trauma-related dissociation. Our recruiting is currently closed.

Active Project

Supporting Loved Ones with Dissociative Conditions

I am seeking stories from people with dissociative conditions (especially DID or OSDD) and their closest supporters.

This research will provide much needed insights into what the healing journey is like for those in close relationships with Systems, and how non-clinical Supporters can show up for them.

If you are interested in participating in this research effort, please email me at ansa@antonishen.com. There will be a brief screening questionnaire to confirm fit, followed by a 90 minute Zoom interview for those that qualify. All participant identities are anonymous unless I’m given explicit approval to share their stories or quotes in any final product (book, podcast, or other TBD materials for distribution/publication).

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. Or visit https://systemlove.substack.com to learn more.

Future Research

Join the Research Panel

If you or someone you love is healing from a traumagenic dissociative conditions, please consider joining my non-clinical research panel.

The purpose of this panel will be to provide a channel to our community for researchers who are interested in understanding our communities needs and wants outside of the clinical context. We have a lot to say, but right now its incredibly difficult for outsiders to access our perspective in any broad way.

I will never sell your name or information. Instead, my intent is to send panelists any opportunities to participate in non-clinical qualitative research efforts that come across my radar. This could be researchers seeking insight for books (like my personal project) or product researchers seeking to understand how they can design goods and services with our needs in mind. You would be able to opt in to any that seem interesting to you.

Some research efforts would be pro-bono, others will come with incentives depending on the nature of who’s backing the effort.

To become a panelist, enter you email below. You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you are a researcher and would like to propose a project to the panel, please drop me an email with study details.
